Penny Lane Plants 

It is with great sadness that we share that Jenny passed away suddenly on the morning of Wednesday, 2 September 2026.

For so many of you, Jenny was much more than (as I put it) “the biggest half” of the nursery. She had an incredible knowledge of plants and a real passion for gardening, but she also loved getting to know people, hearing about your gardens and sharing in your enthusiasm for growing things. Those friendships and connections meant a great deal to her.

As a family, we need some time and space to come to terms with our loss and the enormous hole Jenny leaves in our lives. For now, we have made the decision to put the nursery on pause. The nursery will be closed until further notice, and we will not be taking any new orders during this time.

For those of you who already have an order with us, please don’t worry. We will reach out to you directly and work through getting outstanding orders out as soon as we can. We really appreciate your patience and understanding while we navigate the next little while.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years, shared your gardens and stories with Jenny, and made so many wonderful connections with her along the way. We know how much she loved sharing her plants and her knowledge with you all, and how much the friendships she made along the way meant to her.
