July and look out!!! Here comes the cold blast.
We have been making good use of our bags of compost and this years leaves have been bagged to make excellent organic mulch/compost for another year. We have raked, collected and bagged this wonderful garden gold adding chicken pooh to assist the decomposition. Annually, this is a big job but when you scatter the end result, it is pleasing.
We are updating the website now. It is difficult to know exactly when different plants will be ready during the colder months but we give an indication which we will change if plants are ready earlier or delayed due to the weather.
We always say if you are going to plant something, why not hunt out the right plant for the right spot and pick the best plant. AGM awarded plants are always going to be good as they have been well scrutinised and given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticulture Society for performance, form, high health and reliability. The hard work is done.
There will be delphiniums later in September - watch this space !
